Cristiano Ronaldo has sent an appreciation farewell message to Luis Castro after the Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, parted ways with the manager following a disappointing start to the Saudi Pro League season.

The five-time Ballon d'Or award winner Ronaldo, hours later after the club decision, took to his Instagram account to appreciate the Portuguese 63-year-old coach. Ronaldo shared a picture of himself with Luis Castro, with the picture having the caption, ‘Obrigado por tudo, Mister. Thank you for everything.’
Castro, a former Porto coach, failed to win a major trophy in Saudi Arabia aside from winning the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 after taking the job in July 2023. Several reports have claimed that Al Nassr are on the verge of hiring former AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli.
