Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Gvozdyk and American David Benavidez will fight for the interim WBC light heavyweight title on 22 June in Houston (USA). Gvozdyk said in an interview with BoxingScene.
Benavidez last fought against Demetrious Andrade in November 2023. In this fight David won by technical knockout after his opponent refuse to continue the fight. Benavidez has 28 wins (24 by knockout) and no losses.
Gvozdyk last entered the ring against Isaac Rodrigues in September 2023. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in Oleksandr's favor by knockout. He has 20 wins (16 by knockout) and one defeat on his record.
