Spanish driver Fernando Alonso from the Aston Martin team has voiced his concern over the current format of winter testing in Formula 1, stating that it does not allow drivers, especially newcomers, to properly prepare for the season.
I have done very few laps during these tests: 29 on the first day, 27 on the second, and 49 on the third. Formula 1 is the only sport in the world where drivers have only a day and a half of practice before the start of the season. I understand that all drivers are in the same situation, but there should be a minimum preparation program. It's not perfect for me to have done so few laps, but it's crucial for beginners to get more time on the track.

It’s worth noting that for the third consecutive year, the pre-season testing program in Formula 1 is limited to three days, with each driver spending a day and a half on the track.
The upcoming Formula 1 season will include 24 races, starting on March 16 in Melbourne, Australia, and concluding on December 7 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Fernando Alonso is a seven-time Formula 1 champion. In related news, he has stated that car designers have more influence on the Ferrari team than their new driver Hamilton.
