Following Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari, the Italian team has experienced a significant surge in interest in its merchandise, even though the British driver has not yet participated in official races for the Scuderia. This is reported by City AM.
According to the source, sales of official Ferrari accessories have increased by 400% since January 2025. After the launch of a new collection in early February, sales of the team's products through retail partner Fanatics, which includes the official Formula 1 store, nearly quadrupled compared to 2024.
Hamilton officially became a part of the Italian team on January 1, 2025. During his 11 years with Mercedes, he won seven world titles in Formula 1.
It’s worth mentioning that last season, Hamilton placed seventh in the drivers’ standings while Ferrari secured second place in the Constructors' Championship.
Earlier, Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso stated that Hamilton’s contribution to Ferrari would be less significant than that of the designers.
Additionally, former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner outlined the time needed for the British driver to adapt to the Italian team.
