Max Verstappen Sentenced to Community Service in Rwanda for Profanity

The press office of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) has announced that four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen, who drives for Oracle Red Bull Racing, will travel to Rwanda for community service.

This initiative will serve as both a reward and a consequence for the 27-year-old Dutch driver. He is set to receive his championship trophy in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, on December 13, while also addressing his use of profanity during the Singapore Grand Prix press conference. During his trip, Verstappen will work with young racers as part of a grassroots development program and the new FIA Affordable Cross Car initiative built in Rwanda.

In other news, on September 22, the FIA had stated that there would be no penalties imposed on Verstappen for his comments.

In the 2024 season, the Dutch driver has gained 437 points over 24 races, ensuring him a first-place finish in the individual standings and securing his fourth championship title in the F1 races.
