The press service of Bayern Munich has announced that 28-year-old forward Leroy Sane underwent surgery due to an old injury.
According to a statement on the club's official website, after Germany's exit from the European Championship, Leroy Sane had a minimally invasive operation on his groin in Munich.
The Bayern forward had been battling pain at the end of last season. The 28-year-old is now expected to join team training at the end of July with the rest of the players who competed at the Euros.

On July 5th, in the quarterfinal match, the German national team lost to Spain 1-2. Sane participated in all five matches for the German national team at Euro 2024.
