The press service of the International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced the nominees for the Best Football Coach award for the year 2024.
The list of candidates includes: Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid), Josep Guardiola (Manchester City), Xabi Alonso (Bayer Leverkusen), Lionel Scaloni (Argentina national team), and Luis de la Fuente (Spain national team).
It is important to note that all nominees were selected based on their teams' performances from August 21, 2023, to August 10, 2024.
The current titleholder is Josep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City.
Recently, journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Alonso is set to replace Ancelotti at Real Madrid in the summer of 2025.
