The disciplinary committee of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has dismissed Kylian Mbappe's claim regarding a €55 million debt owed by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), according to RMC Sport.
The committee rejected the 25-year-old player's appeal because PSG had previously filed a lawsuit against the LFP, demanding that the French league pay Mbappe the owed salary. The league deemed Mbappe’s appeal to the disciplinary committee inappropriate in this context.
A representative from PSG stated that if Mbappe continues to violate his obligations and resolve disputes in this manner, the club will be prepared to defend its position in court.
Since the 2024/25 season, Mbappe has been playing for Real Madrid. He has played in 22 matches for the Spanish team, scoring 12 goals and providing two assists.
Due to an injury sustained in the 6th round of the Champions League group stage against Atalanta (3-2), the Frenchman risks not playing any matches in 2024. Real Madrid have reported that Mbappe has suffered a left thigh injury.
