The Belgian suffered a hamstring injury and has undergone surgery in his home country. He is expected to miss four to five months.
Last season, the Belgian played 49 games for Manchester City, scoring ten goals and making 32 assists. He also won the EFL Championship, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup with the Citizens in the last season.
