Reigning UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira is male fighter of the year according to MMA Junkie.
Pereira had his last fight against New Zealander Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 in November of this year. Alex won that fight by TKO in the fifth round.
Pereira was in the octagon this July against American Sean Strickland at UFC 276. That fight ended in favor of Alex by knockout in the first round. He has seven wins and one loss in mixed martial arts under his belt.
