Swedish UFC fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev said he's agreed to fight Brazilian UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira.

Chimaev last fought against American Kevin Holland this September at UFC 279. Khamzat won that fight with a chokehold in the first round. He has 12 wins and no losses under his belt.
Pereira had his last fight against New Zealander Israel Adesanya on November 13 at UFC 281. That bout ended in favor of Alex by TKO in the fifth round. Thus, he won the UFC middleweight championship belt. He has seven wins and one loss on his record.
