UFC welterweight number four ranked Colby Covington has called out Layla Anna-Lee, the wife of fighter Ian Macado Garry, regarding her husband's desire to fight him.
Sportskeeda quotes Covington as saying:
You and that gold-digging wh*re got to turn your Instagram comments back on, and if you turn them off before the fight, you forfeit the fight. Layla, you got 60 seconds to convince me and the people why this fight needs to happen. So, put your husband in the corner, get on your hands and knees and beg. Layla, you wanna be a star? You want the spotlight? I got it for you, sweety, you want your 15 seconds of fame, Layla?
The 26-year-old Garry won by split decision against Geoff Neal in February at UFC 298. Before that, he entered the octagon against Neil Magny in August 2023 at UFC 292. Garry won that fight by unanimous decision. He has 13 wins and no losses. Neil, 33 years old, has 15 wins and five losses.
The 35-year-old Covington's last fight was in December 2023 at UFC 296, losing to welterweight champion Leon Edwards by unanimous decision. He has 17 wins and three losses.
