Recall, on April 9, in the main event of UFC 287, Pereira lost by knockout in the second round to Israel Adesanya and lost his middleweight title. It was their second fight under the UFC banner.
Their first mixed martial arts clash took place in November 2022 at UFC 281. Alex won that fight in the fifth round by TKO.
