On October 18, a hearing was held in the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in San Jose regarding the sentencing of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez.

A court representative announced that the case's consideration has been postponed until early next year, though a new date has not yet been set. A public relations officer later indicated that Friday's meeting was organized solely to present a report prepared by a probation officer.

To recap, Cain Velasquez, who faces charges of attempted murder, firing a gun at a vehicle, assault with a deadly weapon, and carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony, was released on bail in November 2022.

Velasquez was arrested nearly two and a half years ago after allegedly pursuing and shooting at Harry Goularte, who is accused of molesting Velasquez's four-year-old son.

Goulart is charged with lewd acts with a minor, and a court hearing for his petition is scheduled for November 13.

Velasquez last fought against Francis Ngannou in February 2019 at UFC on ESPN 1, where he lost by knockout in the first round. His professional record stands at 14 wins and 3 losses.
