Shevchenko And Strickland Agree To Settle Dispute With Guns

Current UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland and former league women's bantamweight champion Valentina Shevchenko have agreed to resolve the conflict with the help of firearms.

Recall that Strickland and Shevchenko got into a verbal altercation on social networks after Shawn's insulting remarks about women's fights.

Strickland: “Just did ten rounds – fought to the death. It was great – the demons were gone and the voices in my head were silent, giving me peace and tranquility. Valentina, you’re right – you have a great head kick. Next time you’re in Vegas, let’s shoot. Have a good day.”

Shevchenko: “I’m glad you recognized your mistake”.

Shevchenko: “Of course I’ll beat him in the shoot, there’s no doubt about that. I’ll even beat him in the cage if he goes down to 125 pounds.”

Strickland: “After I do you, will you concede your nickname to me? There’s no way you can beat me.”

Shevchenko's last fight was against Alexa Grasso in September of this year at UFC Fight Night 227. This confrontation lasted the entire distance and ended in a draw by split decision of the judges. Valentina has 22 wins, four losses and one draw on her record.

Strickland will face Dricus Du Plessis on January 21 at UFC 297 in Toronto, Canada. Sean defeated Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision at UFC 293 this past September. Strickland has 28 wins and five losses on his record.
