Whittaker Thinks Jamahal Has More Chances To Win In Pereira vs Hill Fight

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has spoken out about the upcoming fight between the promotion's light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill, which will take place on the night of April 14 at UFC 300.

Whittaker said on the MMArcade Podcast:

I would say Alex Pereira is the more technical striker but he gets hit by unorthodox strikers and we saw that with Jiri and in my opinion, he got hurt in that fight as well, granted he still won because he's so experienced in those striking exchanges. He can fight rocked, he knows how to do it, he's done it a hundred, hundred times. But Jamahal Hill, he has serious power, he stopped a lot of guys like cold in their tracks with his hands and he's bringing that unorthodox striking to the table.

Pereira last fought against Jiri Prochazka in November 2023 at UFC 295. In that fight, Alex won by technical knockout in the second round.

He has nine wins and two losses on his record.

Hill last stepped into the octagon against Glover Teixeira in January 2023 at UFC 283. That fight went the full distance and ended in Jamahal's favor with a unanimous decision. He has 12 wins and one loss on his record.
