Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Prediction: Road-strugglers Warriors takes on slightly improved Clippers

The NBA Regular Season is in its final stages and we have witnessed an action-filled period yet again. This is a highly tricky period because just one loss can set a team back in their quest for either the top-six spot in a Conference or the four spots for the Play-in. In this crucial game, two such teams, the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers are going to clash.

The Warriors enter the game after defeating the Suns 123:112 as Klay Thompson chipped in with 38 points. The Warriors have won two in a row but as has been the case, both were at home and had an eight-game losing streak away from home. They have 26 losses and seven wins on the road and they have stuck with 36 wins and 33 losses, which somehow keeps them in the fifth position in the West. However, they have a five-game away-from-home trip and they can easily fall from the top six to the Play-in positions. 

The Clippers enter the game after defeating the Warriors 106:95 on the heels of a 38 points outburst by Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers have now won three in a row but had a five-game losing streak just before that. The Clippers have been inconsistent throughout the season and have only found 36 wins and 33 losses. Only the duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George has been effective offensively but even when the two have played together, wins dried up more than expected. The injury to Norman Powell also played a role while Russell Westbrook is a limited option at this point, especially for a team that needs shooting. Clippers are somehow in the top-six but their Playoffs prospects don’t look alluring.

The Warriors are in a spot of bother as the five-game road trip has begun, they’d like at least two wins during the trip because slowly, the seventh-to-tenth-ranked teams are closing in on them and a losing streak can severely hurt their prospects; Similar ghosts haunt the Clippers that has been unable to get going during yet another season. In this game, the Clippers can eke one out considering they are playing at home. I predict a scoreline of 124:116 in favor of LA.
