Peter made a pretty good start to the League with a win against Michael Smith 6-3. He then beat Gary Anderson 6-5 in the semi-finals and successfully won the round over Jonny Clayton 6-1. In Liverpool, Peter didn’t have luck on his side and lost the first match he played, to Michael van Gerwen 6-1. The last game Wright won was Gary Anderson 6-4 before losing to James Wade 6-4 in the semi-finals. Peter Wright is currently a single win away from equalizing the head-to-head score with 2 wins of the 5 matches played recently. His performance hasn’t been consistent in the League, which will force him to better the next chance he gets.

Gerwyn seems to be improving his performance while Peter has been going through some unfortunate defeats. It is likely for Gerwyn to aim to continue on his steady pace or, better, to reimburse for the past losses.
