M80 vs Rooster Prediction: Rooster is very weak to win

M80 has a 75% win rate on the maps for the last three months. The regional rivals have not been the strongest, but the team has proven their class in the RMR and IEM Chengdu 2024 qualifiers. They beat the new Team Liquid twice and were surprisingly great against lesser-known opponents. The guys have high HLTV ratings - a range of 1.1 to 1.25. It's hard for M80 to play exclusively on Inferno - it has a 37.5% win rate in eight games. On Overpass and Vertigo, the team plays with 100% stats in 18 and 15 matches.

In the last series against GamerLegion on Nuke, the match's outcome was decided in the previous rounds. M80 came back with a score of 2:10 but could not end the winning streak for the ST team, and the strong play of sniper acoR saved the Legionnaire. The American team doesn't often get the chance to practice with teams from the top 20 of the HLTV rankings, but even in this meeting, they didn't look too bad.

Rooster is well known to people who follow the exotic Australian CS2 scene. The team has won local tournaments at ESEA and CCT. However, they have not been able to guarantee invitations to the tier-1 tournaments, losing to Grayhound Gaming and Bad News Kangaroos. 

The match against Virtus.pro in the play-in showed that the current level of players is not enough to fight for the tournament's main stage. In Inferno, the Aussies took a long time to make decisions and often made the wrong ones. No one doubted Virtus would win, but the Roosters were expected to have some nerve and be ready to pull off an upset. Unfortunately, the team was not prepared.

M80 should quickly close this series in their favor. Rooster is very weak to win at least one map.
