BOOM Esports vs Motivate.Trust Gaming: BOOM to continue their winning streak

South-East Asia’s first DPC league of the 2021/22 season will continue on Saturday, December 18. BOOM Esports and Motivate.Trust Gaming will meet in the first match of the day for the elite division.

DPC SEA 2021/22 Tour 1: Division I is an online Dota 2 tournament from December 01, 2021, to January 22, 2022. The top eight teams from the SEA region will battle it out for $205,000. On top of the cash prizes, the teams will also fight for three entries to the majors and the crucial DPC points needed to qualify for T11.

BOOM are off to a great start in the new DPC cycle. They beat OB.Neon (2-0) handily, but their opponent was not a contender for the majors. Fnatic was the first serious test for the new BOOM line-up, which the Philippine team passed incredibly well, shutting down the formidable tag with an easy 2-0 score.

The BOOM Esports team promoted only the Indonesian squad all last season. While the Indonesians still finished the first DPC league more or less normally, they failed the second and even lost a slot in the Asian region’s elite. But the boys will start the new DPC cycle in the elite, thanks to the exclusion for match-fixing of Omega Esports.

The organisation has dropped the Indonesian side. The past’s failure could not have positively affected all the former boom players. They are now a Filipino team whose players have performed well throughout the off-season, even winning their ninth BTS season in SEA.

Motivate.Trust Gaming is one of the most interesting Asian teams, which could even breakaway on the TI from the bottom, given their results in the early last summer of 2021. Still, in the end, the team failed to qualify at the TI, we are talking about the 7th season (6th place), but in the 8th season, the guys were able to enter the top three winners, namely, finished the tournament in 3rd place.

The main star of the squad is JaCkky, who joined the squad from T1 in March after upping his MMR to 12K. The guy from Laos has shown an unbelievable game, blowing everyone by farming speed and button-pushing on his heroes.

The squad hasn’t changed since the summer. Now the guys are showing up well at Tier-4 tournaments. Moon Studio Asian Tigers and PNX Invitational was a great warm-up before the ninth season of BTS and, of course, before the upcoming new DPC season. The BTS boys finished in 3rd place and approached the DPC in as good a shape as possible.

BOOM Esports will win this meeting with a handicap (-1.5) on the maps; the odds are 1.90.

These teams like to make a killing, so Total Over 48.5 frags on the first map for 1.73 looks like a good option to bet on.
