Invictus Gaming

The Chinese team said goodbye to the G2 collaboration and assembled an entirely new roster, with only BoBoKa remaining from last season. With the new roster, the Chinese team won the regional qualifier at BB Dacha Belgrade but couldn't repeat that success a few days later at the DreamLeague qualifier.

The main reason for the complete roster change is the failure at TI13. G2.iG ended their participation in The International 2024 after losing to Team Spirit in the last set. After a disappointing win against Tundra Esports, G2.iG faced Team Spirit, who quickly dominated both maps. In the first game, Denis Larl Sigitov on Invoker helped Spirit take control of the map. However, in the second game, G2.iG was again unable to counter their opponents' coordinated rotations. As a result, G2.iG was forced to exit the tournament, ending their history in the roster we saw in Denmark.

Alliance

After several disappointing seasons and a nine-month hiatus, Team Alliance returns to Dota 2. Founded in 2012, Sweden-based Team Alliance was one of the most dominant teams in 2013, winning over a dozen major tournaments, including the G1 League, Star Series V, VI, and DreamHack Summer 2013. Their most notable achievement was winning The International 3, where they defeated Natus Vincere 3-2 in the final.

After that, however, things went downhill. In the DPC 2021-22 season, the team finished with a terrible record - 0:14 in the Summer Tournament. Shortly before The International 2022, Alliance disbanded their roster and announced plans to focus on Dota 2 the following season. After a complete roster overhaul with Southeast Asia, the team expanded into South America, but both divisions disbanded in December 2023. Now Alliance is back, taking under its wing a Dandelions team from Western Europe that will compete in the PGL Wallachia Season 2 tournament under coach Jonathan Loda Berg.

Expert Betting Tips

Although this is a status tournament, these teams are far from the toughest that will compete for the grand prize. Do not think Invictus Gaming will have an easy time with Alliance, especially given the Chinese team's penchant for throwing games.
