T1

The reigning world champions have another chance to win a third MSI title. However, the team is a long way from where they want to be, having endured a series of hardships in their quest to qualify for their first international tournament in 2024. During the spring break, LCK T1 struggled with DDoS attacks that prevented them from training or playing as often as they would have liked. Despite this, they remain one of the best teams in LCK.

The T1 players had to survive the play-in stage of this MSI, where they faced Estral Esports and FlyQuest. Faker and Co had no trouble at all, and considering that this team has two MSI titles to its name, no one can write off T1, but if anyone can, it's Gen.G Esports and Bilibili Gaming, the latter of which didn't feel the legendary Faker in their last match. There were also problems in the game against G2 Esports, so there is little faith in T1 at this MSI, especially as the players point out some mental issues. The match against Team Liquid was won, but the world champions had problems with the American team as well, and now they face a tough G2 team that will be hungry for revenge.

G2

The European champions started the tournament on the main stage and almost beat the reigning world champions from T1. Still, in the fifth map of the battle against Faker, the Europeans could not cope with the veteran, even though they had everything they needed to take the series after the draft and the first half of the map's playtime. After being relegated to the losers bracket, the G2 players overcame PSG Talon and destroyed the second team from China Top Esports. They did it so quickly, even mockingly, that it came as a real shock, as everyone considered G2 players to be serious outsiders.

G2 Esports remains the only Western team to win the MSI trophy in 2019. Since then, LPL and LCK representatives have primarily dominated the MSI. Chinese teams (LPL) have won the last three MSI tournaments in a row, and while there is no defending champion this year, this may be G2's best chance to upset them, as the Eastern teams themselves insist that the Europeans look stronger than last year.

12-time LEC champion Rasmus Winter has been G2's main trump card since joining the team in the 2018 off-season, and he's been in great form this year. G2's recent dominance of the LEC Winter and Spring splits has shown how far they have come from the rest of their opponents in the West.

Expert Betting Tips

The European champions should give a good fight to the Korean second team, who are not playing as calmly as they did at last year's World Cup. It is worth noting that the G2 players came close to winning that tournament against T1, but the Europeans have improved their game since then.
