Belarus vs Montenegro Prediction: They are far superior to the Belarusian national team

The Belarusian national team has again been left without a major international tournament. It is hardly surprising, as they have never qualified for the World Cup or the European Championship. At the same time, they came very close to qualifying for Euro 2020 when they reached the play-offs via the UEFA Nations League but lost 1:0 to Georgia in the round of sixteen. This time, they did not even have such a chance because they only finished fourth in Group I in the classic qualifying tournament. 

Montenegro's first appearance in a qualifying tournament was for the 2010 World Cup, where they failed to qualify. Since then, they have never made it to a World Cup or European Championship, although the level of their squad is not bad. Many players play in Europe's top leagues and have experience playing in European competitions, but together, they always fail in qualifying competitions. They failed to qualify for Euro 2024 even though their group was not that tough. Miodrag Radulovic's wards finished in third place behind Hungary and Serbia, and they also performed poorly in the UEFA Nations League, so they didn't get an extra chance.

Montenegro is an excellent team, with the majority of the players either playing in the top European leagues or having extensive experience in the international arena. In this respect, they are far superior to the Belarusian national team, which comprises players from either the local Major League or the RPL and, therefore, has played a minimum of European Cup matches. The red-green team has also struggled, having faced the Montenegrins four times, losing twice and drawing twice. 

In September 2023, the national team of Belarus got a new head coach. He became the Spaniard Carlos Alos Ferres. Only 9 goals were scored (1.50 average per game), only the match against the Swiss was a goal extravaganza - 3:3, and the remaining five matches had three goals (0.60 average per game).
