CRB Belouizdad vs USM Alger Prediction: The fierce derby will end in favor of the visitors

Two of the most successful teams in the history of this tournament will face off against each other at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on Wednesday. USM Alger have a stern test ahead of their clash tomorrow against CRB Belouizdad in the bid to advance to the final of the Algerian Cup tomorrow. This fixture will be played under high tension for the home team as this is their only opportunity to lay hands on a silverware this season. 

Marcos Paqueta's comrades are unbeaten in all competitions over their previous seven games. However, this run hasn’t been a great one, considering the fact that they have drawn two of their last three games. CR Belouizdad have not lived up to their expectations this season and were lucky to have advanced to the Algerian Cup semifinals after sharing the spoils against Division Two side ES Mostaganem. 

After failing to qualify his side for the CAF Champions League knockout round and ten points behind the league leaders, Marcos Paqueta's job could be on the line if he fails to qualify for the Algerian Cup final. 

The Usmists have had a decent run in the league so far and have won three consecutive games in all competitions. They march here following their victory over RC Bougaa and US Biskra, scoring ten and conceding once in both games. The results were their best this season, and coach Juan Carlos will be happy with his team after some tough times in the previous month. USM Alger have been pretty solid lately, and after their CAF Confederation Cup semifinal was postponed, they’ll have all the time to prepare against a strong CR Belouizdad side. 

USM Alger have won twelve while CRB Belouizdad have recorded seven victories and a game ending in a tie. There has been just one draw in eighteen of their last nineteen meetings. USM Alger have dominated these meetings in recent years, having recorded six victories, and CR Belouizdad managed two wins. The hosts were beaten by ASO Chlef in the final of this competition last season and will thread carefully against their opponent, especially after being eliminated from the CAF Champions League and are twelve points behind the league leaders. On the opposing end, USM Alger is cut out for games of this caliber, and considering their recent form, we expect them to advance to the next round. 

I’m not convinced by the way CR Belouizdad have been playing lately, and since this game will be played on a neutral ground, I expect USM Alger to advance here for 2.45.

I think USM Alger will rely heavily on their excellent record against CRB Belouizdad to secure the maximum points here.
