Millwall will welcome Sunderland at The Den in Game Week 16 of the English Championship. Sunderland have lost their advantage in the title race. Who will come out on top after 90 minutes?

After five successive mid-table finishes in the Championship, Millwall is keen to finally break into the Premier League. The team went into the current international break on a run of seven undefeated games. Josh Coburn, on loan from Middlesbrough, scored for the Lions in their last match against Stoke City, but the latter was equalized by Ben Gibson. With no loss since the month of October, Millwall has risen to eighth place on the Championship table. Neil Harris is concerned that, coming off a series of victories against top Championship clubs, they beat Sunderland this weekend.

Despite drawing their last three games, including a recent match against Coventry City, where they squandered a lead to settle for a tie, Sunderland remains at the top of the Championship table, level on points with Sheffield United and two points ahead of Leeds United. The team has shown strength away from home, earning 10 points from their last four away games while only conceding one goal.

Back to Sunderland's renewed hope and confidence now that Le Bris' French revolution is always leading them into the festive period, a success was in the making for that campaign in the Championship.
