Kampala City vs Airtel Kitara Prediction: KCCA confident of sealing maximum points

Phillip Omondi Stadium will host the Uganda Premier League match between Kampala City and Airtel Kitara. In their last meeting, the two teams could not secure a win. How will they respond here?

Kampala City was held to a 1-1 draw the previous time out against BUL and will look to do better here. In that game, Ashraf Mugume put Kampala City in the lead just 15 minutes into the second half, but a 73rd-minute Jeremy Kirya’s strike denied Kampala City maximum points. While the home team started their season with a 1-0 win over URA SC, Kampala City has four points this season from a possible six, leaving them seated 5th in the standings. 

Airtel Kitara played NEC FC in the week two encounter and lost 1-2. In that game, Airtel Kitara leveled the scores in the 69th minute of the game, having been behind just five minutes into the second half. However, a 79th-minute Wahab Gadafi’s strike denied Airtel Kitara a point at least. With three points from a possible six this season, Airtel Kitara is seated 7th in the standings. 

Despite a very strong start to the season, Airtel Kitara could not do better at home against NEC FC last time out. In the meantime, Kampala City looks very decent in their first two matches against tough opponents, and I expect more from them here. With the two teams' matches involving goals, I expect a similar result here. Also, while Kampala City is doing very well, I am certain the home team will win.
