Ikorodu City vs Nasarawa United Prediction: The two teams are in search of their first win this season

Ikorodu City are searching for their first win of the season after a poor start. They lost 3-0 on the road to Kano Pillars in the opening day game. However, while they held Kwara United to a goalless draw in the second game of the season, their encounter against Enugu Rangers during the week ended in a 0-1 defeat. Heading into this game, Ikorodu City have failed to score a single goal this season while conceding four. This team sits at the bottom of the standings, one point from a possible nine. 

Nasarawa United's last league game was against El Kanemi Warriors and they lost. In that game, Nasarawa United took a two-goal lead at halftime, with Anas Yusuf scoring twice for this side. However, Nasiru Salihu’s brace and Umar Al Amin’s strike overturned the scores for El Kanemi Warriors. Yet, Anas Yusuf completed a hat trick in the 67th minute to level the scores for Nasarawa United. Still, a penalty in the 89th minute denied Nasarawa United a point in that game. Heading into this game, Nasarawa United have failed to secure a win in their first three matches of the season, losing one and drawing two others. 

Ikorodu City should be able to secure a win in this game. The two teams have struggled so much this season, but at home against a struggling team, I believe that Ikorodu City will win their first league match. Also, while the two teams’ defenses are poor, I expect goals from both sides.
