Chippa United vs Magesi FC Prediction: This game promises to be end to end with goals in both halves

On Saturday, Chippa United will face off against Supersport United at their newly remodeled Buffalo City Stadium. The Chilli Boys will hope to get off to a flying start on a new ground where the management already announced a 60% sale of tickets and expects fans to troop in.

The Chilli Boys head here with a stalemate at home against Supersport United. After their poor display against Amazulu on the road, Chippa United were able to stand on their feet against a strong opponent as goalkeeper Nwabali picked up the man of the match award. 

Chippa United have played eight times in the league, with exceptional performances against top teams. They have picked up eleven points from a combined twenty-four, scoring seven and conceding eight. 

Chilli Boys will be keen to make their home turf a refuge this season, winning three, sharing the spoils once and losing a game already this season.

The team of the moment continued their decent start to the season as they shared the spoils against Kaizer Chiefs. Magesi FC, who have been a menace to teams since promotion, threw their two goals lead away as Kaizer Chiefs scored twice to split points. Since then, they have defeated Mamelodi Sundowns in the Cup game. 

The newly promoted team have now drawn their last three games in the league, failing to score in two of the matches. Magesi FC have picked up six points from a combined eighteen, scoring three and conceding five. 

Magesi have won twice, lost a game and drawn once over their previous four away matches. 

Chippa United were not bad in their recent game, at least it was better than the game against AmaZulu. They’ll play this game on their newly renovated ground and I’m aware this will come with lots of excitement for the fans. However, they have a stern test ahead of their clash against an opponent who have gone head-to-head with top teams since promotion.

I know the hosts are the favourites, but I’m not going to underestimate Magesi, who have some serious attacking talent up front. I’ll settle with the guests getting a goal, at least here.
