Struga vs Tikves Prediction: Can Struga finally win?

Even though it’s 6 round of Macedonian First League, the champions Struga have played only 2 matches in the domestic competition because of the matches in Europe. Last week they were knocked out of ECL and now their focus is on the league. Tikves on the other hand, started the season well, but now are winless in the last 3 matches. Both teams will try their best to get 3 points of this match before break for international matches.

In the league, the competition for the title is much more serious than last season and they will have to give everything to keep up with Shkendija and Brera. Struga have 4 defeats in a row, but the quality of the team is certainly much better than the form shows. Last season they won twice against Tikves in this stadium and I expect them to win this match as well.

In the last 3 matches, they have 2 defeats against leaders in the table Shkendija and Brera, and a draw against Voska. They are getting points mostly on home ground and as visitors against last season’s champion, they really don’t have much chance. Tikves made huge changes in the squad for this season, but it seems that the capacity and ambitions of the team are the same as last season, finishing in the middle of the table and trying to get as far as they can in the National Cup.

After very poor and disappointing journey in the European competitions, it’s time Struga to get more serious in the domestic competition if they want to fight for the trophy again. This match at home stadium against Tikves, is perfect opportunity to end the bad run and finally win. Tikves will not give up easily, but in my opinion the difference in quality between these teams is huge, and considering everything Sruga will win in this match with several goals difference.
