Kagera Sugar vs Namungo FC Prediction: The hosts can’t afford to drop points in back-to-back home games

After failing to take advantage of their opponent in a recent game and sharing the spoils, Kagera Sugar can’t afford to drop points when they face off against Namungo at the Kaitaba Stadium on Wednesday.

The hosts head here with a share of the spoils against Tanzania Prisons on their home turf. The toothless stalemate was as a result of their guests' solid defensive performance. Kagera Sugar had everything available to them in ensuring they secured their third win of the season when their opponents were shown a red card in the 61st minute, however, they failed to make their chances count as both teams settled for a tie. Kagera Sugar have improved lately even though it hasn’t reflected in their recent. Kagera Sugar have picked up ten points from a combined thirty-nine, scoring seven and conceding thirteen. 

Kagera Sugar have won twice, lost two and drawn twice over their previous six home games.

The Southern Killers' woes continued as they settled for a defeat on their home turf against Young Africans. After a decent start and creating some chances at the break, their guests marched into the second half in a different gear, scoring twice to cart away the maximum points in front of their home supporters. 

Namungo are one of the two sides without a stalemate this campaign, as it has been an all-or-nothing for them. Namungo have picked up nine points from a combined thirty-six, scoring five and conceding fifteen times. In that period, they won three games and lost nine games. 

Namungo has managed one win over their last five away matches this season. 

Kagera Sugar have won three, while Namungo have managed six wins and three games ending in a tie over their previous twelve meetings. Namungo are on a poor run this campaign, failing to win any of their last three games. The manner of their defeats are questionable as they lack any real fight. At the same time, Kagera Sugar have struggled to find their rhythm this season and have been pretty terrible at the back. Even though the hosts have upped their game lately, they still haven’t convinced me enough.

Regardless, I think Kagera Sugar won’t go back-to-back games without a win at home; bet on a home win for 2.16.
