LASK vs Vikingur Prediction: the guests won’t lose

LASK is the bronze medallist of the last Austrian championship, but in the current season things are not so productive for the Black and Whites. By the end of the 16th round they are satisfied with only the seventh line in the standings, and therefore they have to fight only to get into the top-6.

The Austrians are not performing well in the UEFA Conference League either. Vikingur became the Icelandic champions in 2023, but failed to defend the title. The Red-Blacks did worse in this year's national championship, so they finished only second in the standings, three points behind Breidablik.

But in the UEFA Conference League, the Icelanders are pleasantly surprising. They lost 0:4 to Omonia, but then beat Cercle Brugge and Borac 3:1 and 2:0 respectively, shared the points with Noa 0:0, then lost 1:2 to Djurgården, but are still in 19th place in the standings.

LASK approach the upcoming battle being in a disgusting form. The Austrians have lost their last four games in a row with a total score of 3:14. Moreover, they have no realistic chance of making the playoffs. The Icelanders, on the other hand, are capable of maintaining their position in the top-24, but they need to pick up at least one point in Linz to be sure of final success. They should be able to fulfil this task, so the bet is that Vikingur will not lose.
