It would seem that Detroit is in bad shape. The team has lost four of its last five games and is unlikely to beat Arizona, but who has it lost to? Colorado, Toronto, Tampa Bay and Florida. There is no shame in losing to such opponents. Also, between the four losses comes a win over Carolina in overtime. Overall, the Red Wings looked great, it was just a very tough schedule.

However, those points had absolutely no impact on anything. The Coyotes remain in bottom place in the Central Division, 30 points behind the playoffs. 

In our opinion, Detroit is the favorite. The Red Wings show a higher level of hockey. This is evidenced by their point differential this season (54 vs 36). We do not think that the Red Wings will lose on their home field to an outsider, but we decided to reassure ourselves and bet on them to win the game.
