Brandon Royval vs Rogerio Bontorin: The fight will go the full distance

On January 16th, there will be another UFC tournament. In one of the main card bouts, American fighter Brandon Royval will meet Brazilian Rogerio Bontorin.

The bout will take place in the flyweight division. Royval is ranked fifth in the official UFC contenders rankings, while Bontorin is seventh.

Royval has had four fights in the UFC and has lost his last two fights, both early. But he also prefers not to take things to the judges' decision himself - out of twelve wins. He has eleven finishes (three by knockout, eight by submission).

After two straight defeats, Bontorin finally won by unanimous decision over Matt Schnell (record at the time 17-6). Just like Royval, he likes (and knows how) to win by submission - of his seventeen wins, he has fourteen early wins, and already eleven of them by submission.

The fighters are very similar in style. They like to fight in the ground and finish with receptions. And that's why the analysts believe that this fight won't last the whole distance, and they would like to give odds of 1.50 for Total Under 2.5 while Total Over 2.5 is already 2.45.

But it is worth paying attention to the fact that the rivals are worth each other, their fighting style is very similar, and their weaknesses and strengths they have studied from start to finish. I don't think they will destroy each other. No, they will wait for mistakes and quite probably, they won't. It's unlikely to be a spectacular encounter, and I'll put my money on Total Over.

As for the favourite, the selection is also unclear. There is no favourite here. Nevertheless:
