Jack Hermansson vs Joseph Pyfer Prediction: Expecting Knockout Only

UFC Vegas 86 (UFC Fight Night 236) will take place in the United States on February 11th and will be headlined by a bout between Jack Hermansson (Sweden) and Joseph Pyfer (USA). The fight will take place in the middleweight division.

Jack Hermansson is a well-known fighter, many people's favorite Joker, who had a lot of glorious bouts. He came to mixed martial arts from wrestling but wins more often by knockout. Once Jack became the champion of the CWFC league. In the UFC, he performed since 2016, and in the cage, he faced guys like Tiago Santos, Jared Cannonier, Marvin Vettori, and Shawn Strickland. Hermansson lost to all of them. In his last bout, Jack also failed. Roman Dolidze took his back in the second round and beat him openly with both hands until the referee got tired of it.

Joe Pyfer is on an incredible run, with five early wins (three in the UFC). He is confident in himself, and veteran Hermansson is a suitable and comfortable opponent for him. In his last fight, Pyfer finished Abdul Razak Alhassan. Before that, he finished Gerald Meerschaert in the first round. 

I think I've earned this spot. I've had three winning fights in the UFC, I've made sure I'm interesting, I talk before the fight, and then I go out there and put my money where my mouth is. I have the potential to be a superstar, if things go the way I expect on Saturday, I will officially be at that level. Right now, I'm still on the road to that. I deserve a fast track to the title. I have the story, I have the charisma, I know how to talk, and I'm the damn fighter the UFC needs me to be.

Jack Hermansson returns after a long layoff due to injury, and he's thrown right into the meat grinder. He's in a gatekeeper role here. Obviously, the league is interested in promoting the flamboyant Pyfer, as another victory over an opponent will allow him to slide into the top 15. It is unlikely that the tired and battered Hermansson will withstand the pressure of the bold American for long. He's sure to fight on a high tempo right from the start. Even if Jack saves himself in the parterre, it won't help - Pyfer wrestles well. But he's an even better puncher, so betting on his early victory seems logical and reasonable.
