Iga Swiatek vs Emma Raducanu Prediction: Eagle-eyed Iga takes on rejuvenated Raducanu

One such tournament is Indian Wells Open and in this game of the event, Iga Swiatek is going to take on Emma Raducanu in the Round of 16.

Swiatek comes into the game after defeating Bianca Andreescu 6-3, 7-6, winning the tiebreaker 7-1. The Polish had a bit of trouble getting past the Canadian but in the end, showed her great control. She had a 38-32 receiving points edge whereas she had a 41-34 service points advantage. Iga has made it a habit to make it to the Final of tournaments and not only that, her trophy case keeps on expanding. At just 21 years old, she has already won three Grand Slams, two of them coming last year. Iga had a bit of a letdown in Australian Open but she has set such high standards that anything else than a title isn’t expected. Iga is the number one player and that is by a big distance.

Emma marches into the affair after defeating Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 in the Round of 32. Emma had a disadvantage in terms of receiving points, lagging behind 29-31 receiving points. However, she depended upon her service game and pinched out a 52-47 service points advantage. Beatriz entered as the thirteenth seed in the tournament so that was a big win for Emma. In the Round of 64, she defeated Magda Linette who entered as the twentieth seed and has been in peak form. Emma has returned after more than 50 days after her unimpressive Australian Open and a bunch of other runs that kept falling short. Raducanu broke headlines when she won the 2021 US Open but since her fortunes have dwindled significantly. Will this tournament and current run propel her back into the mainstream?

Iga and Emma have met once before at the Senior level and that was during Stuggart Open. Iga won this match in two sets.

Emma is back in the groove but she has drawn a rather undesirable match-up at this stage because Iga can destroy any player in the world. Will Raducanu make a game out of this or will Iga sweep it through? Swiatek is likely to win this in two sets.
