Iga Swiatek vs Tatjana Maria Prediction: The Polish champion will crush Maria

A cracking game in the first round of the last tournament preparing for Wimbledon. Iga Swiatek, the Nr.1 WTA and the favorite for Wimbledon following her great victory at the Roland Garros can achieve great training ahead of Wimbledon this week. Her first match here seems easy and she will be able to overcome Tatjana Maria who’s not the best in the circuit on grass.

The Roland Garros was quite intense for her so she took a couple of weeks off before coming back to play on grass, preparing for her next Slam, Wimbledon. While it will start only in 10 days she showed her adaptability skills during other major events and we don’t doubt she will quickly adapt to the German grass before flying to London next week for the major tournament number 2 of the season. Her dream is to complete the Grand Slam and she is capable of doing so. This tournament needs to be taken seriously to prepare the rest of the grass season well and she will without doubt show it already in this first round. 

The German expert athlete is coming here for a home tournament she lost in Nottingham at the WTA tournament a week ago and played in Italy another challenger to prepare for Wimbledon. Being 36 this year doesn’t give her any advantage against the number 1 in the world. Her only hope is to find a very bad day at the Pole and get the supporters cheering her up for the whole match, otherwise a quick outcome is expected for her.

The Pole being number 1 in the world is a challenge too big for Maria Tatjiana so it should end up in a one-way match with a low number of games. Swiatek to win in 2 sets is the minimum to place your bet on.
