Vuelta a España 2022 Stage 15 Prediction: Energy Consuming Mountain Run with the Best in the Business, Richard Carapaz Leading the Ranks

For the GC riders, today is just another day with another steep finish. There is a more compassionate section just beyond halfway before category one Alto del Purche, although the early sections, such the category three Puerto del Castillo (km 33.8), are continually ascending and descending (km 110.4). There are three spots of 15 percent or more during the 9.1 kilometers of its ascent, and there may be scouting attacks before the day's main event.

Richard Carapaz will likely continue to be a part of the breakout of the day and hang on until the very end. Other outstanding riders who no longer have any GC aspirations but would welcome a stage victory and some KOM points.
