Bayern Munich has officially announced that RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann will become the team's new at the end of the current season.
The Bavarian-born 33-year-old will move to Munich from RB Leipzig on 1 July 2021 ahead of the new season, signing a five-year-contract with the German record champions until 30 June 2026.

At the same time, the Munich club will have to pay Leipzig at least 25 million euros for the early termination of the agreement with Nagelsmann. It would make Nagelsmann the most expensive head coach of all time. Currently, that record is held by André Villas-Boas, who moved from Porto to Chelsea in 2011 for 15 million euros.
