Dmitry Bivol, the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division, may lose his WBO or IBF titles if he does not fight his mandatory contenders.
According to Uncrowned, Michael Eifert is set to face Bivol due to IBF obligations. Previously, the WBC mandated Bivol to fight David Benavidez. It is also worth noting that a potential third fight with Artur Beterbiev may lose its status as a title bout for the undisputed championship.
On February 23, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Bivol won against Beterbiev with scores of 114:114, 116:112, and 115:113, claiming the title of undisputed world light heavyweight champion. The first fight between the two boxers took place in October 2024 and ended in a majority decision victory for Beterbiev. Beterbiev currently has a record of 21 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss, while Bivol boasts 24 wins (12 by knockout) and one loss.
