Canelo Believes A Fight with McGregor Would Be “Easy Money”

Undisputed super middleweight world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has responded to questions about a potential boxing match with former UFC double champion Conor McGregor.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez
Why not? We show boxing is better. [It would be] way easy money. [I'd knock him out] at the time I want. 12 rounds, two rounds, three rounds — whatever I want.

Recall that Canelo is set to face Edgar Berlanga on September 15 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight titles.

His last ring appearance was in May 2024, where he won against Jaime Munguia by unanimous decision, bringing his record to 61 wins (39 by knockout), 2 losses, and 2 draws.

Edgar Berlanga, who last fought in February 2024 and won by knockout against Padraig McCrory in the sixth round, boasts a record of 22 wins (17 by knockout) and no defeats.
