WBA Regular lightweight champion, American Gervonta Davis has been released after a scandalous arrest in a domestic violence case, ABC News reports.
According to the source, the 28-year-old boxer was released on $100,000 bail.
Davis was arrested in Florida on December 28 by the local police and spent 24 hours in police custody.
We would remind you that he is scheduled to fight Hector Garcia of the Dominican Republic on January 7.
Davis, 28, had his last fight against Rolando Romero in May, 2022. That fight ended with a sixth-round knockout win for Gervonta. Last December, Davis defeated Isaac Cruz by unanimous decision. He had 27 wins (25 by knockout) and no losses.
