Famous boxing referee Steve Smoger dies

Famous boxing referee Steve Smoger passed away at the age of 72, it was reported on Pennsylvania Boxing's Twitter page on social media.

Smoger was a member of the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997. In 2001, The Ring magazine named him the best professional boxing referee in the world. In 2010 and 2013, he was named referee of the year by the World Boxing Association.
