Nate Diaz: I Went On A Four-Week Bender Before The Fight With Paul

Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz admitted that he had been drinking alcohol for several weeks before his boxing fight against Jake Paul on August 5, 2023.

Low Kick MMA quotes Diaz as saying:

I went on a four-week bender before the fight. We trained hard for months on months and we were over it, me and my whole team. So I sat back and started kicking it. I was over training. If it was a scary opponent, you wouldn't allow yourself to do that. For one, I was injured and I couldn't even really throw a punch. I was f-ed up. And for two, he was the easiest fight I ever had.

The fight between Paul and Diaz took place in August 2023. In this fight, which lasted the whole distance, Jake won by unanimous decision. He has nine wins (six by knockout) and one defeat on his boxing record.

Diaz will next step into the ring against Jorge Masvidal on July 7 in Anaheim (USA). The first bout of these fighters, held under the rules of MMA, ended with the defeat of Nate by technical knockout. He has 21 wins and 13 defeats on his record.
