Prograis becomes WBC champion by knocking out Cepeda at tournament in United States

WBC super welterweight champion Regis Prograis defeated Jose Cepeda on November 26 to win the vacant WBC super welterweight title.

The fight ended in the 11th round: the referee fixed the victory for Progreis by TKO.

This is the 28th win of Progreis' professional career out of 29 fights he has fought. In April 2019, Regis won the WBA world title and defended the WBC Diamond welterweight title for the second time with a sixth-round knockout victory over Kiryl Relikh.

Cepeda suffered his third career loss out of 41 fights (2 were failed).
