Mexican boxer Gilberto Ramirez commented on his first career loss to WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol of Russia after two weeks.

It just wasn't my night, congratulations to the champion. It's hard to accept my defeat, but I promise to come back stronger and better. I truly appreciate all your love and support throughout this journey.

The fight between Bivol and Ramirez took place on the night of November 6 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The fight was held over 12 rounds and Bivol won by unanimous decision (117-111, 117-111 and 118-110). Ramirez, 31, has 44 wins (30 by KO) and one loss.
