Six National Federations Join World Boxing Organization, Created To Replace IBA

The press office of the World Boxing organization, which was created to replace the International Boxing Association (IBA), announced the entry of six national federations.

There are national teams from the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, England and the Netherlands.

The representatives of World Boxing said that they intend to seek recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the preservation of boxing in the program of the summer Olympic Games 2024 in Los Angeles.

Recall, World Boxing was created in April of this year.

On June 22, the IOC decided that the IBA no longer has the right to hold boxing competitions at the Olympic Games 2028 in Los Angeles (USA). In addition, the International Boxing Association has now been stripped of its recognition.
