Dilano van't Hoff, 18, Dies on Track in FRECA Series

18-year-old Dutch MP Motorsport team driver Dilano van't Hoff died in an accident at a round of the Formula Regional Championship by Alpine (FRECA) racing series. The press-service of the series reported about it.

The tragedy happened on July 1 at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit during the second race of the FRECA series. Van't Hoff's car swerved on a wet from rain track, and Adam Fitzgerald's vehicle crashed into it. The driver could not see the danger due to limited vision.

Van't Hoff sustained injuries incompatible with life. Fitzgerald was also injured and is under medical supervision.

In 2019, Formula 2 driver Anthoine Hubert crashed on the same circuit section.
