Helmut Marko Claims Competing with McLaren in Brazil is Nearly Impossible for Red Bull

Helmut Marko, the motorsport advisor for the Red Bull Formula 1 team, shared his thoughts on the competition with McLaren and Ferrari at the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix.

Helmut Marko for Sky Sport Deutschland
I think with McLaren it will be very difficult, or de facto impossible to keep up. Charles Leclerc and Ferrari seem within reach, at least in the sprint race. But the gap is very big given the short lap.

As it stands, McLaren lead the Constructors' Championship. Ferrari follow in second place, while Red Bull hold the third position. The personal standings are topped by Max Verstappen, the three-time world champion and driver for the Austrian team.

Today, November 2, a sprint will take place at 17:00 at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo, followed by qualifying for the main race at 21:00 GMT+3.

Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull F1, assessed the prospects for Sergio Perez to keep his spot with the Bulls after the home race in Mexico.
