Claudio Ranieri Takes Charge of AS Roma Until the End of the Season

Italian coach Claudio Ranieri has been appointed as the head coach of Serie A club AS Roma. He will lead the team until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

Following this period, the 73-year-old manager will switch to a managing position, taking on the role of sporting advisor to the club's owner. In the upcoming months, the search for a new head coach will continue, and Ranieri’s insights will be crucial in selecting a suitable candidate.

Ranieri parted ways with Cagliari in May 2024, stating that he did not plan to train any other clubs.

Roma began the season with Daniele De Rossi as their head coach, but this was followed by a coaching change to Ivan Juric, who lasted about two months. The second coaching dismissal of the season happened on November 10, with news of the club's interest in Ranieri emerging on November 13.

Currently, AS Roma sits in 12th place in the Italian league with a total of 13 points.
