FIFA Confirms 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia

FIFA has proclaimed that the 2034 World Cup will take place in Saudi Arabia. Australia had previously expressed an interest in hosting the tournament, but soon withdrew its bid, leaving Saudi Arabia as the sole candidate.

The tournament will be held at 15 stadiums across five cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, Al Khobar, and Neom, which is yet to be constructed in the northwest of the country.

The Neom stadium will be unique, built at an elevation of 350 meters above sea level, accessible only by high-speed elevators and autonomous vehicles.

This project is part of the ambitious urban concept "The Line," which envisions a car-free city stretching 170 km and just 200 meters wide. The upcoming city will be taller than the Empire State Building in New York and approximately the same length as the distance between Bristol and London.

It was also announced that the 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
